We also shared an order of the regular CAJUN FRIES ($3.49). Good thing we shared because we only ate about half of it! The cajun spices were a nice change from regular fries and didn’t require any ketchup.

FIRST UP: SZECHUAN NOODLES

The first few times I made SZECHUAN NOODLES were disappointing. It was always too bland, not spicy enough, too light in color, blah blah blah. I’m not going to lie, I have high expectations and even if one thing is off, I consider it a failure. Thankfully, I have an awesome support group at my dad’s restaurant who are willing to eat my mistakes while encouraging me to improve.

LESSON LEARNED: practice makes perfect

I’m proud to say last night papachef complimented me on the SZECHUAN NOODLES I made for staff dinner!

They always have around a dozen flavors regular flavors along with seasonal specials every so often! At about $1.75 per macaron, it can be an expensive treat, but once it hits your mouth, you realize it’s allllll worth it.

Here are three of my favorites (from top to bottom): apricot lavender, grand-marnier orange, and rose lychee.

I ordered a BEEF NOODLE SOUP made with knife-cut noodles. I’ve never had this type before so was super excited to try!

It did not disappoint. You can see how each noodle is a different size and shape! Apparently this technique is really hard to learn since you have to cut the dough fast yet control the thickness of the noodle. This bowl of delicious-ness was less than $5USD and VERY filling…GREAT VALUE!

I had a pulled pork sandwich with yam and coleslaw sides.

My friend had quinoa salad with kale and green bean sides.

We split a cornbread waffle.

VERY good value here. We spent around $18USD with leftovers for later!

Best milk tea bubbletea I’ve had to date.
